Increase in revenue of traffic police action in 10 districts of Bagmati

Chitwan: The revenue of traffic police action has increased in 10 districts under Bagmati Pradesh except three districts in the Kathmandu Valley. It was informed at a press conference organized by the Bagmati State Traffic Police Office, Ramnagar that the revenue has increased this year as compared to the last fiscal year.

Chief of the Bagmati State Traffic Police Office, Ramnagar, Chitwan and Superintendent of Police Shanti Raj Koirala said that the revenue collected in the first six months of the current fiscal year was on average. According to him, out of the revenue collection of 131,68,500 in the fiscal year 2075/07, 109.86 million has been collected in the first six months of this year.

In addition, 151,121 vehicles have been prosecuted for violating traffic rules this fiscal year. In the fiscal year 2075/076, 193,511 vehicles violating traffic rules were prosecuted.

Similarly, the number of road accidents has increased in 10 districts but the number of deaths has been declining. However, the number of road accidents has increased in 10 districts of Bagmati.

Koirala said that 263 people were killed in 448 road accidents in 10 districts of the state in the first six months of the fiscal year 2076/77 BS. Koirala said that 1,201 people were injured in the accident. In the fiscal year 2075/76 BS, 376 vehicles were involved in accidents in Bagmati. It is estimated that 261 people lost their lives and 796 people were injured in the accident.

A total of 142 people have lost their lives in 675 road accidents in the last six months of the current fiscal year.

On the other hand, the number of road accidents has decreased in the area due to the improvement of the Mugling-Narayangadh road section. However, accidents have increased in East Chitwan due to narrow roads and high traffic.

A total of 99 people were killed and 741 injured in the Mugling-Narayangadh road section in the fiscal year 2074/75. There were 400 road accidents during the period. There are statistics that 28 people lost their lives in 55 accidents in the fiscal year 2075/76 after the expansion of the road section. A total of 187 people have been injured in the accident. Similarly, 24 people were killed and 114 injured in 57 accidents in the last fiscal year. According to the Bagmati State Traffic Police Office, Ramnagar, four people have been killed in 19 accidents in the first six months of the current fiscal year. During the same period, 44 people have been injured in accidents.

At least 58 people have been killed in road accidents in Chitwan in the first six months of the current fiscal year.

According to the District Traffic Police Office, Chitwan, eight people were killed in road accidents in August, three in August, nine in September, 10 in October, 13 in November and 15 in December.

In the first six months of the last fiscal year 076/77, 91 people were killed in accidents. As of mid-Push of the current fiscal year, 48 men, six women, one boy and three girls have been killed in accidents.
