Chitwan: Bharatpur Metropolitan City Chief Renu Dahal has said that the pride of the metropolis should not be made a matter of prestige. This was stated by Dahal at a press conference organized after inspecting the city hall under construction here today.
She said, “The metropolis has started the process of construction of city hall under the project of pride. No one should make it a matter of prestige. ” She said that it should be understood that the project is a ploy to make it a failure if it is a matter of prestige.

Construction of City Hall in Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 10 is in full swing. The land owned by the District Coordination Committee Chitwan is being constructed in the name of the metropolis.
The construction work of the city hall has been taken forward by bringing the four bighas and four blocks of land in the name of District Coordination Committee Chitwan under the ownership of Bharatpur Municipal Corporation. Metropolitan Chief Dahal has urged the contractors to construct the city hall during his tenure. Stating that there will be no shortage of construction materials, Dahal said that the city hall will be inaugurated after the construction as the foundation stone has already been laid.

Dahal said that it was a matter of happiness for the same company to construct the city hall and widen the Narayangarh-Gondrang road. Dahal said that the three-year concept of the municipality will be completed within the next 27 months.

Giving information about the construction of City Hall, Prakash Aryal, Chief of Intensive Urban and Building Construction Project, Chitwan, said that there would be no shortage of funds as it is a multi-year project. Aryal said that a very special assembly hall with a capacity of 2,000 people and a small hall with a capacity of 300 people would be built. Stating that the city hall under construction will be 25 meters high, Aryal said that two lifts of 20 and 20 capacity will be installed in the city hall.

Stating that the city hall will be constructed using international quality construction materials, Aryal said that an agreement has been reached for the construction of the city hall on November 30. He informed that a construction agreement worth Rs. 878.8 million has been signed to be completed within the next 27 months.

While inspecting the city construction site, Sahadev Khadka, chief of construction company Indo Sagun Rautaha JV, said that the construction work of the main building of City Hall has been expedited. Stating that PCC has moved ahead by soling in the foundation, Khadka said that the construction will be completed before the agreement date if there are no financial and local problems. He said that a readymix plant will be set up at the construction site to keep the quality of materials used in the construction of the city hall.
