Success of SP Nanteeraj in cannabis control: 3 arrested with 52 kg more cannabis

Chitwan: Police have arrested three people in Chitwan. The Area Police Office, Chanauli, has arrested three persons with 52 kg and 125 grams of cannabis.

Among the arrested are Indra Bahadur Tamang, 24, Dorje Tamang, 21, of Dhakre Gaonpalika-3 of Dhading and Padam Bahadur Tamang, 61, of Bharatpur Municipal Corporation Ward No. 24.

According to SP Nanteeraj Gurung, Chief of the District Police Office, Chitwan, the three were arrested today during a checkpoint at Chanauli Bazaar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-18.

SP Gurung said that necessary investigation was underway on both the arrested persons. According to police, Indra is the driver of the truck while Dorje is the co-driver.

The driver of the truck Indra Bahadur Tamang and co-driver Dorje Tamang were arrested and interrogated.

While searching for Padam Bahadur Tamang, the police found him at home and found 25 kg of cannabis hidden in his room. Padam Bahadur Tamang was also arrested.
