First anniversary in 26 years
CHITWAN : The Devi Bhanjyang National Basic School observed its first ever anniversary function in 26 years of founding. The school is located at ward no.
6 of Icchyakamana rural municipality. Majority of the students in the school are from the local Chepang community. “We are very happy to observe the anniversary for the first time in 26 years,” said chair of the school management committee Bal Bahadur Chepang.
Chief of Chitwan district coordination committee Krishna Kumar Dallakoti pointed out the need to pay attention towards improving the quality of education in the school. On the occasion, Chepang children also presented local dance and culture.
Various institutions and organisations have been providing support to the school. On the occasion, school uniform was distributed to the students with support from Century Commercial Bank.
There are 120 Chepang students studying in the school, according to head teacher Gyanu Pandey. The students also receive mid-day meal in the school, which is promoting the regular attendance of students
